TELUGU CULTURAL CHAPTER

Celebrating Telugu Arts, Music & Cultural Expression

“దేశ భాషలందు తెలుగు లెస్స”
“Among all the languages of the land, Telugu is the finest.”
— Sri Krishnadevaraya

Manollasini’s Telugu Cultural Chapter brings together artists, families, and community members to celebrate the rich artistic and cultural traditions of Telugu-speaking communities through music, dance, performance, and shared cultural experiences.

Rooted in the cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana while welcoming contemporary expression, the Chapter creates opportunities for Telugu artistic traditions to be experienced, presented, and shared across generations in New Jersey’s diverse communities.

CULTURAL SPOTLIGHT

Kuchipudi at Sangeetha Mahotsav

At the most recent Manollasini Sangeetha Mahotsav, Siddhendra Kuchipudi Dance Academy brought the grace, rhythm, storytelling, and expressive traditions of Kuchipudi to the Manollasini stage.

The presentation highlighted the depth of Telugu classical dance heritage while giving audiences an opportunity to experience Kuchipudi as part of a broader celebration of Indian classical arts.

Performances such as these reflect the role of Manollasini’s Telugu Cultural Chapter in helping connect Telugu artistic traditions with artists, families, and audiences across the wider community.

FROM CULTURAL HERITAGE TO LIVE PERFORMANCE

Connecting the Chapter to Manollasini Programs

The Telugu Cultural Chapter is not a separate performing-arts wing or a seventh Signature Program.

Instead, it creates a cultural community through which Telugu artists, families, Gurus, partner schools, and community organizations can connect with relevant Manollasini programs and performances.

Depending on the artistic form and program theme, Telugu cultural expression may be presented through:
